From the Roman name Octavianus, which was derived from the name <a href="details.php?no=&n=OCTAVIUS">OCTAVIUS</a>. After Gaius Octavius (later Roman emperor Augustus) was adopted by Julius Caesar he took the name Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus.
